Facility Overview

 

Thank you for your interest in hosting a private event here at the

Toasted Oak Wine Bar & Grill.  We are sure you will not be disappointed.  Affectionately known simply as "The Oak" we are now recognized as a classic Okanagan venue for casual destination dining, relaxed British Columbia wine appreciation and an overall good time.

 

Our facilities are conveniently located right at ground zero in Canada's Wine Capital - Oliver, British Columbia!  Tastefully decorated with gallery style features and exhibits displayed throughout all levels - you will experience how Oliver’s historic “old Firehall” has taken on a new life.   

 

Our menu features contemporary regional Wine Country cuisine along with a generous selection of lighter fares - offered on both our luncheon and dinner menus.  In addition, we are pleased to offer the attached Buffet and Set Menu formats.  Our culinary team has had pleasure in preparing this menu with the diverse selection of British Columbia wines in mind.

 

Not to be outdone, the owners and general manager / sommelier have assembled a great wine program that represents a collection of over 280 distinct nouveau and vintage BC wines, all cradled in the facility’s own controlled environment vintage wine cellar.

 

The Toasted Oak restaurant's award winning “Best BC Wine List in the Pacific Northwest” features many wines in flights.  We are now delighted to offer all of our wines in by-the-glass format - likely the largest access to wine-by-the-glass in the province. A fitting tribute to a job well done by the BC wine industry, its growers and winemakers!

 

 

Private Function Room Options

 

*        Private function rooms* are available in three formats:

o        The Barrel Room - Adjacent to the restaurant’s Vintage Wine Cellar, this private dining area is great for hosting an exclusive dinner for 6 - 22 people.

o        Captain’s Room - This larger private function room will accommodate 50 dining guests or 70 seated conference style.  Great for seminars and private functions!

o        The Vintage Cellar - A truly one of a kind experience.  Intimate dining for up to four guests in the Toasted Oak’s very own vintage wine cellar.  Here you can truly absorb all that BC wine country has to offer.  Reservations for the Vintage Cellar experience are mandatory due to limited availability.

*        140 seats in the main wine bar / restaurant - including the patio.

*        Licensed for family enjoyment - your children are welcome!!

*        Great selection of local micro-brew beers, single malt scotches and more.

*        We host relaxed & informative wine seminars and wine education events.

*        Winemakers’ dinners hosted in the Spring and Fall.

*        Full range of audio-visual support available for private functions.

*        Cool-misted summer patio.

 

* ALL THIRD PARTY EVENTS HOSTED IN OUR SPECIAL EVENTS’ ROOMS ARE GENERALLY SUBJECT TO A ROOM RENTAL FEE.  THIS WILL BE WAIVED IF YOUR EVENT INCLUDES CATERING.  15% GRATUITY EXTRA.

 

ANY FUNCTION HOSTED BY A THIRD PARTY WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE CATERING WILL BE SUBJECT TO A ROOM RENTAL FEE - ENQUIRE WITH THE MANAGER FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

          (Available at $15/dozen - 2 dozen minimum order*)

3.    BUFFET MENU OPTIONS

 

Our Buffets are designed and prepared for a minimum of 15 people.  Total number of guests is only limited by our maximum facility guest capacity.

 

Should you wish to customize a Buffet Menu for your group, please call and ask for the manager who would be happy to assist you in your planning.

 

All prices quoted below exclude an optional Dessert which can be include for an additional $4.50 / guest.

($18 per person plus taxes and gratuity)

($16 per person plus taxes and gratuity)

4.    MULTIPLE COURSE SET MENUS

 

These set menus can be adapted to your group if we are given prior notice.  You can assist us, and incur a savings upfront for yourself, by having your guests pre-register their dining options. (Save $1.00 per person).

 

 

  SET LUNCH MENU

 ($22 per person plus taxes and gratuity)

 

Guest’s choice of one item per course:

 

First Course

Onion Bisque garnished with

crème fraiche and crispy shallots

Or

House aged goat cheese baked in Phyllo pastry

with a savory beet salad

Or

Warm potato salad with sautéed prawns,

chorizo sausage, and roasted peppers

tossed in homemade red wine vinaigrette

 

Second Course

Slow roasted chicken breast served over

aromatic cous cous and seasonal vegetables

Or

Beef and mushrooms tossed with fettuccini

in a tomato and cream sauce

Or

Grilled West Coast Pink Salmon

with tossed salad and Crostini

 

Dessert Course

Lavender Lemon Cheesecake

($30 per person plus taxes and gratuity)

 

Our dinner items are presented in more substantial portions than the luncheon items.
